Store opening checklist
Full check before opening the doors: cleaning, display, till and security. Completed in the field, with or without signal, recording who opened.
In retail the opening sets up the rest of the day. If the till does not balance at opening, the problem drags on until closing. If a fire extinguisher is discharged or an evacuation route blocked, the store is trading with a violation in plain sight of any inspection by the labour authority or the local council.
The window before opening is short and always rushed. That is why things get missed: the alarm still logging events, the anti-theft sensor left off, the wet floor that later causes a fall. An opening checklist forces you to look at every critical point before the first customer walks in, and records that the store opened in the right condition.
How to use it with CaptaLog
Copy the template to your account and the store manager or shift lead completes it from their phone at opening, even with no signal. Every non-conformity — an unbalanced till, an expired extinguisher — becomes an assigned action, and there is a record of who opened, at what time and under what conditions.

A real section of the free PDF — the template itself is in Spanish. Every item is answered Conforme, No conforme or N/A, on paper or from your phone, with or without signal.
