Manufacturing quality control checklist
Verification of specifications, measurements and product acceptance criteria on the plant floor. Completed in the field, with or without signal.
Quality control on the plant floor breaks down over concrete things: an uncalibrated vernier caliper, an out-of-date specification nobody replaced, a non-conforming batch that carried on down the line because it was not segregated in time. Each individual error looks minor, but by the end of the shift it adds up to returns, rework and customer complaints.
An inspection checklist gives the measurement structure: which critical characteristic to check, with which instrument, against which tolerance and what to do when something falls out of range. It also leaves evidence that the product was checked, with batch, time and owner — which is what matters when a customer complains or an ISO 9001 audit asks you to trace how that batch was released.
How to use it with CaptaLog
Copy the template to your account and the quality inspector completes it from their phone right at the workstation, even if the plant has no signal. Every non-conformity becomes an action assigned to the line supervisor, with a photo of the part, the measurement and the batch number, all recorded with a date and an owner.
