Planogram compliance checklist
Verification that the shop floor display matches the planogram: placement, facings, prices and POP material. Completed in the field, with or without signal.
In retail the planogram is not a head-office whim: it defines where each product goes because sales and supplier agreements depend on it. When the shop floor does not match the planogram — an incomplete facing, one brand encroaching on another’s space, a shelf label with the wrong price — sales are lost and commitments the store bills for are broken.
The problem is that the floor changes every day: rushed replenishment, out-of-stocks, promotions that come and go. Without a routine check, the display drifts away from the planogram unnoticed, until the supervisor or the supplier arrives and finds the mess. Worse still when the shelf price does not match the till price: that is a straight consumer-protection violation.
