Finished goods control checklist
Final product verification: packaging, labelling, quality and traceability before dispatch. Completed in the field, with or without signal.
Finished goods control is the last barrier before the product reaches the customer. It is where the errors that slipped through the line get caught: a batch with the wrong label, cases with fewer units, a seal that did not close properly, a barcode that will not scan. Whatever passes this check does not come back — it reaches the customer and turns into a complaint or a full return.
A structured final inspection reviews quality, packaging, labelling and traceability before releasing the batch for dispatch, and records that the product went out compliant. That traceability — being able to link a batch to its raw material, its production run and its dispatch — is what lets you respond quickly to a complaint or run a targeted withdrawal instead of a full recall.
How to use it with CaptaLog
Copy the template to your account and the quality inspector completes it from their phone in the dispatch area, even with no signal. Every non-conformity — a misprinted label, a faulty seal, a shortage — becomes an action before the batch is released, with a photo and a batch number, and there is a record of who released the product and when.
