Line inspection during production is what stops a small problem shutting down the whole plant. A misaligned belt, a compressed air leak, a guard left open after an intervention: these are signs in plain sight that nobody records until the machine stops or someone is injured.
Walking the line with a checklist forces you to look at what becomes invisible through habit — process parameters, guarding, order and cleanliness — and records the condition the line was found in each shift. That helps anticipate unplanned stoppages and demonstrate compliance when the insurer or an audit reviews machine conditions.
