Underground, the roof is the boss. Ground support inspection is what decides whether an area is fit for people and equipment to enter, or whether it needs scaling, reinforcing or closing. A badly installed rock bolt, poorly overlapped mesh or shotcrete just under the specified thickness are not visible to the naked eye — and the rock mass changes shift by shift with stresses and blasting.
Ground support is where rockfall fatalities happen, which is why the check has to be done by a competent person and recorded. When a fall occurs, the first thing reviewed is whether the area was supported to design and whether anyone inspected it before letting people in.
How to use it with CaptaLog

They record the condition of bolts, mesh and shotcrete with a photo, and any out-of-spec condition becomes an action that restricts entry to the area until it is closed out.
