PPE verification is what sustains real safety in a warehouse and on the road. Issuing a helmet and boots once is not enough: if the hi-vis vest is worn out, the gloves cut or the hearing protection not worn, the worker is just as exposed as with nothing at all. And in logistics the risks are concrete: being struck by forklifts, falls from height, cuts from strapping, hypothermia in cold rooms.
The real pain is twofold. On one hand, protecting the worker. On the other, the evidence: after an accident, the labour authority and the workers’ compensation insurer ask for the signed PPE issue record. Without that backup, the company is liable even if the PPE was issued. A record with a signature and a photo closes that exposure.
