Room check checklist
Control of cleaning, amenities, bed linen and general condition before handing the room to the guest. Completed in the field from a phone, with or without signal.
In hospitality the room is the product. A room handed over with a stained towel, an unrestocked minibar or a shower with no hot water turns into a complaint, a bad review and, often, a comped night. The hotel pays for a badly done check twice: in the discount and in its reputation.
The problem is that the room attendant and the supervisor check dozens of rooms a day, against the clock, and the control often ends up on a sheet nobody looks at again. When the guest complains, there is no way to know who checked what or what they found.
