Construction site safety inspection checklist
Verification of safety conditions, order and cleanliness on site. Completed in the field from a phone, with or without signal.
On a construction site, safety does not fail through the spectacular, it fails through the everyday: the guardrail removed to pass material through and never put back, the harness left hanging because “it was only a moment”, the electrical panel left open in the rain. Each looks minor on its own, until it combines with a lapse of attention and ends in an accident the insurer will investigate.
Routine safety inspection exists to close those gaps before they line up. And recording that the check happened matters as much as spotting the unsafe condition: when the labour authority inspects or an incident occurs, being able to show the site was inspected — with date, photo and owner — is what backs up the safety officer and the company.
How to use it with CaptaLog
Copy this template to your account and the safety officer or foreman completes it walking the site from their phone, even with no signal in the basement or on a floor without coverage. Every “non-conforming” finding becomes an assigned action with a deadline, and everything is recorded with photo, GPS and timestamp as evidence for the insurer or an inspection.
