Preventive maintenance checklist
Record of scheduled maintenance with evidence and owners. The technician completes it in the field next to the equipment worked on — with or without signal.
Preventive maintenance is only worth anything if it is carried out and documented. The difference between a plan that works and one that is pure paperwork is the evidence: what was done, who did it, with which spare parts, and with what measurements. Without that, there is no way to know whether the schedule was met, and when equipment fails nobody can reconstruct its history.
For a company that manages or maintains third-party facilities, this record is also proof of the service delivered. The client pays for scheduled maintenance and wants to see the backup — photos, signatures, parameters. A well-kept checklist is what justifies the invoice, sustains the manufacturer’s warranty and avoids arguments about whether the work was done.
How to use it with CaptaLog
Copy this template and adapt it to your schedules and equipment. The technician completes the work order from their phone next to the asset, even with no signal, capturing measurements, spare parts, before-and-after photos and the owner’s signature. On syncing, every corrective finding becomes an assigned action and the next maintenance is scheduled.
