Incident report checklist
Structured recording of complaints, damage, accidents and operational problems, with evidence and follow-up to close-out. Raised in the field with or without signal.
In hospitality, incidents are inevitable: a guest who slips by the pool, damage in a room, an item that disappears, a noise complaint at three in the morning. What separates a well-run hotel from one that loses customers is not that nothing happens, but how it is recorded and resolved.
The typical problem is that the incident is reported verbally, half resolved, and leaves no trace. When the guest demands compensation, when the insurer asks for the detail of a workplace accident, or when the same problem happens for the third time, there is no evidence of what happened or what was done. A worker accident also requires a proper record for the insurer.
